Exciting times at my house...my little bumpkin (FINALLY) lost his first tooth!! He timed it perfectly--right before dessert--this week's Tuesdays With Dorie sweet!

This is the second time I have made this ice cream--not requiring an egg custard and getting the most beautiful fresh blueberries from my CSA makes it the easiest thing ever.

And it was the PERFECT dessert to have with a grin like that...

Blueberry Sour Cream Ice Cream!
Blueberry Sour Cream Ice Cream!
Isn't that the most divine color? (don't shoot me -- I've got to learn html to fix these awkward page breaks...)
It is very very rich. So rich, in fact, I think it must have borrowed some coinage from the good old tooth fairy...
Betcha my TWD pals had mucho success with this one as well! Check them out here!

Oh, forget about the ice cream comments...sure, sure, it looks great...but the fun here is really the darling little taste tester with his first missing tooth. How cute is this???? Thanks for sharing. (And, your ice cream really does look wonderful in that pretty dish.)

Inquiring minds are curious, what does the tooth fairy pay these days?
Glad you and your toothless buddy enjoyed the ice cream. :)

your ice cream looks so good. and what an adorable taste-tester you've got!
my little boy would be so jealous... he keeps telling me his tooth is loose and is anxiously awaiting his first loss. he starts kindergarten this year and I hope the tooth fairy gets to visit him before too long! do you think more ice cream would help?
Your little boy is the cutest!
Great to include your son in the post on the ice cream. Special memories are made.
Awww, cute pictures!
Your ice cream looks fabulous, but I'm afraid I too am in love with your little toothless wonder! What a cutie!
Wow! Congrats on the first tooth. My son was so eager to lose his first tooth and did it just before he turned 7. My daughter lost her's shortly after she turned 6.....everyone's different.
The color of this ice cream can't be beat! First tooth, how fun! As a kid, I learned that the "Mountain Tooth Fairy" paid a lot more than the "Valley Tooth Fairy" so my sisters and I would always try to delay a loose tooth until we were visiting our cabin in the mountains.
