Daring Cooks Presents...Chinese Potstickers!

Making potstickers was such a blast! Who knew? The dough was simple. Stuffing and pleating was a breeze.

I used the suggested pork filling--my little guy has H1N1 and I didn't have the mental capacity to come up with any creative variations.

I have a 'dumpling' doohickey--which I tried but thought it was just easier to pleat with my fingers.

Thank you Jen of Use Real Butter. What a terrific challenge! I never would have rolled potsticker dough otherwise. And, my freezer holds enough of these little treasures for another meal! Recipe link is here...you won't regret it!

Wow, your pleating did come out perfect and gorgeous, maybe even better than the ones you get at Chinese restaurants! Beautiful job, and they look absolutely delicious!!

The 2nd person who had H1N1 I have seen going through the blogs. Beautiful pleating on the dumplings and your stack of wrappers is so nice and goregous. Little treasures you are exactly right.

I am amazed that you got these done even though your son is sick. I hope he was well enough in time to taste them because they look too good to miss out on.

That pan full of potstickers is the bomb! Looks terrific and I'm so glad you enjoyed the challenge. Your proficiency is really admirable too!! Hope the little one is better in no time. Great job on the challenge.

This was a challenge easier than I had initially thought it would be. Yours came out quite nicely and making extra for the freezer is a great idea. I didn't even know there's a "dumpling doohickey" so just did mine by hand, too.
