They look like Plique a Jour but there is no metal to them, they are all glass. They are only about 3/8 inches wide at the widest and have raised areas of rose red and black glass beading on black glass with glass shanks. I have read that many times the metal is melted away leaving only the glass on Plique a Jour. I would be glad to send a picture to you if that would help.
Love the buttons in this article, thank you for sharing them. ---Sandra Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11759957891762317560noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5437615872452220160.post-68338416553865873692017-06-13T19:29:18.255-07:002017-06-13T19:29:18.255-07:00I must say it is very beautiful button. Too modest to ask, but these should go into serious collections, or at least if bought for jewelry, to a jeweler who uses "no harm methods" to mount and preserve the original shanks.
Chris the ButtonLadyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01892465466819711611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5437615872452220160.post-220722445730756042016-05-05T20:07:09.771-07:002016-05-05T20:07:09.771-07:00Wow!Wow!Laura Morriganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16402692693911867276noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5437615872452220160.post-33518917920484376572016-05-04T23:21:11.939-07:002016-05-04T23:21:11.939-07:00Hi Marda, How nice to see your name!
