Victorian 1850 Children's Book Illustrations ~Free Clip Art ~Beautiful Birds ~ Red Breasted Robins

Hi everyone! Today felt like a bird day. Not birthday...bird day.Looking through my files I came across these illustration. How perfect! The prints are from an 1850 children's book titled 'Treasury of Pleasure'.Love the green, red and brown color combination and rustic feel. I know they will find their way into your many and varied projects. Framed in rich wood they would fit right into a french provincial styled room.

"The Young Lady's Equestrian Manual" 1838 Victorian Era Book Illustrations

Hi everyone! I have the best little book to share with you.

 It was published in 1838. Any horse loving young ladies out there?  

Originally I  turned all the images to black and white. I changed my mind because it is a really old book and it should look old. This front piece and the text were exceptions

Here is the chapter for what a young lady should wear.

An antique Victorian postcard of pussy willows is a good start for the day. I have always adored the fuzzy little buds since I was a child. Doesn't everyone love them? A sure sign of spring and new growth.

Sometimes I wonder what you (my readers)are doing and what your day is like. With visitors from all over the world, it is easy to imagine  cottages, modern apartments, and any possible home where you are reading this posting. Is your home safe and peaceful? Is there a garden?do you live with a family, pet or on your own? Are your needs being meet? 
This is a little rambling but I care about you all. In your quick visits and kind comments and the ongoing interest of my followers has pulled me into this new "community". A unique form of friendship with dear people from all over the world.

Free Vintage Clip Art from a Colorful Children's Book "The Happy Day Begins" Artist Janet Laura Scott

     Like many of you I just love old children's books because of the illustrations. " The happy day begins" is a charming book for little one's. It is over sized with bright colorful images. There are no markings so the artist, author and manufacture are unknown. If you know who the illustrator is please let me know. I always thought the pictures would be great in a child's bedroom. The colors are bright and vintage. My guess is the book is from the 1920-30's. 

Update; I have been told the artwork was done by Janet Laura Scott.

It is a Beautiful Day! Family Antique Postcards

    The sun is shinning, amazing fall leaves and new images for all you creative lady's.

Taking my shower this morning I realized how positive all the product names are,

Do you have any inspiring things in your shower?

My all time favorite product name is hope in a jar by philosophy@. I purchased it years ago but saved the cute little jar. It is on a shelve in my bathroom so I see it every day. I love little containers and boxes. Actually anything tiny or miniature.

One of these days I will take and share pictures of my 1930's dollhouse for all those dollhouse lovers. The miniatures and furniture were my aunts when she was a little girl. Over the years I have added other 1930's items. Strombecker & Dolly Dear to name a few manufactures. Love that eBay!.

I just tried to enter Cathe Holden's ( at just something i made)giveaway. Not sure how to send my comment after it is filled out. She has fantastic new stamps for Christmas.
