Cute Victorian Cupids and Angels Plus an Edwardian Belle
Hi everyone! Time to get a post out.
Sunday I had the great satisfaction of demolishing a big old useless, in the way, shelving unit. 'Me and my hammer' had broken that flimsy thing into a little pile of kindling in no time. I donated another car full to the salvation army. Slowly making progress. Playing with the Legacy buttons is a nice break.
It might not be valentines day anytime soon but I could not resit these beautiful old postcards. Edwardian era charm when everyone wrote to each other.
May your day be full of love and creativity, Louise

The prettiest cherubs and flower sprays Perfect for black and white French inspired designs
Hi everyone! Welcome to you all.
If my blog were a garden it would be over grown and needing water. This seems to be a pattern. A flurry of pictures and posts and then... So after a week It is time to get back to blogging. I also have to confess that I am an image hoarder! My computer keeps telling me the virtual memory is low and that some request will be slow. Sound familiar? My brain and body has the same thing going on! Whether it makes more room or not it seems logical to me that deleting files and folders will make room for new ones. That is what I have been doing today. Kinda like cleaning out your closet by trying everything on before you toss it out. The fact that there are already plenty of images doesnt disuade me from looking for just a few more. And I found the best stuff! Antique children's books from an online library. There are almost 8,000 books to look thru.
One of the things I liked and thought you might too are from chapter endings and title pages little do-dads, thing-a-ma- jigs, fluerishes or what every you might call them. I can just see them in your scrapbooks and crafts, altered art, invitations etc. . There are even two labels. Black and white and so French. Two of the cherubs have a pair of wedding rings.Hope you find them as lovely as I do.
Your comments have been incredible and very welcomed. Thank you for the comments regarding Sherry. It will be so nice to pass them on to her and the board. Hope we get her back somehow.
The number of followers continues to grow and there have been over 100,000 page views!! WOW!
Thank you so much for your positive support. I love you gals!!

Beautiful and cheery pictures from antique postcards and paintings to celebrate the first day of August
Hi everyone! How fast the days slip by... In between the buttons, washing every piece of my fabric stash and other fun things, I have been keeping up with the political maneuvering in
Washington. They seem to be finally working things out. The next few days will be interesting.
It is August first! how did that happen?
On Thursday I had the nicest visit at the legacy. There was time for going through some of the quilt fabric after tidying up the buttons. I found lots of pretty fabric. When I got home it was time for organisation and cleaning. I washed out the containers and added a few more to hold all the new and old fabrics. One thing I love is that every scrap will be clean and ready to sew with. As some of you know washing all those fat quarters and raw edged yardage results in a lot of loose thread and knots of fabric! One big ball of mess. There are still a few small loads left to do, but then it will be done forever. From now on anything new will be washed before it is put away.
I have a few new images for you. The aqua or teal blue color brought this varied group together. Hope you like them.
love, Louise
This sweet angel was on a Valentines card.
Such a beautiful painting!
I know it isn't new years but she just could not wait that long.
