The Best Art Nouveau Graphics ~ Ladies in Jewels and Crowns ~

Hi everyone! Today I have the most wonderful pictures! The theme just fell together while organising my digital files. All the illustrations are Art Nouveau in style. Ladies with swirling hair, crowns, jewels and flowers are typical for the period. Time to print and do some coloring! Enjoy and hopefully these pretty ladies will be in your next project or creation. Sending love to each and everyone of you!

A Few Beautiful Paintings of Women in Pretty Edwardian White Dresses by Charles Courtney Curran

It is such a beautiful day! Only 3 days until I receive the second dose of vaccine! Super happy about that. Really looking forward to going out and doing some exploring. I found some paintings that reflect my mood. All are bright, breezing, and sunny. The paintings are by Charles Courtney Curran (1861-1942).  He often painted women in lovely outdoor settings. The printers page decorations are the days free digital clipart.
I also added a Victorian calling card just because it is pretty.
Hope the paintings make you happy also.
Much love to all of you!

Vibrant Antique Victorian Ephemera Free Clipart for Making Journals, Cards, Scrapbooking.

Hi everyone! So glad you found my blog. I hope you like the pictures today. Lately I have been looking for old advertising trade cards online. Very happy that I continue to find libraries that have digitised old scrapbooks from the 1800's. Most are full of trade and greeting cards artfully arranged. There are visiting or calling cards plus lovely Victorian die-cut scraps scattered about. Can't help but wonder who the person was that made them. I am just a tad obsessed with finding and "collecting" these little digital treasures. Very grateful to the libraries who make the scrapbooks and collections available online for educational use. My only frustration is that only a small number of Victorian and Edwardian scrapbooks have been digitised. I love spending a ridiculous amount of time organising, cleaning and repairing any imperfections. So many people are making greeting cards, journals, family photo albums and other paper crafts now.  I hope you find todays images enjoyable, pretty and useful for your personal projects. Much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

March Birth Flower Cheerful Yellow Daffodils ~ Edwardian Postcards

March is a special month for me. So many of my favorite friends and loved ones have March birthdays. The flower for March is the cherry sunny yellow daffodil or narcissus.  All the pictures are from antique postcards. I would date them from late Victorian to Edwardian period. Hope they brighten your day!

Hi one and all! Welcome to my blog. Today's post features a sweet children's book "Little Miss Marigold". The pictures are done in warm sunny colors and just so sweet. Reminds me of Kate Greenaway's artwork. Perfect for making into a special handmade birthday or welcome to the new baby card.

Flowers in my Grandmother's Garden ~ Fuschias Ballerina Flowers Botanical Print~ Victorian Trade Calling Card Scraps 1880's

Good morning to all of you. Such a happy day today is! Happy for simple reasons. Nothing momentous but because I accomplished overdue chores and my kitty is feeling better. The other reason is remembering my Grandmother's garden. I loved wandering over the acres of orchards, flowers, forest and the giant oak tree. Today I have pictures of fuchsias for you. My grandmother would pick one and take a little section of stem. The stem was pushed thru the top to make little arms. The petals where the skirt and the stamen her legs. So adorable. Hope you enjoy the pictures
