Cat Lady Post. Cats in Fine Art & Illustrations. Adorable kitties to use in your art, journals, scrapbooking. Free Digital Graphics!
I am laying down with two cats nestled by my chin and shoulders. A large black cat on the left and a small Bengel on the right plus my computer on my chest. They are both purring right into my ears. I will indulge the kitties for a little while but I need to move! Seems like it is time for a cat lady post.

Paintings of Cooling Luscious Green Foliage, White Flowers & Pretty Women. Paintings by Sophie Anderson & William Margetson. Free Digital 1880's Ephemera.
Hi everyone! So happy you are here! Today the collection of paintings and ephemera feature white flowers and lush green leaves. The first picture of the magnolia blossoms was the start of this grouping. All the foliage and shade reminds me of finding a shady place to sit on a hot day. Just cool and peaceful. The last few days have been so satisfying as I discover more museums that share artwork online for all to enjoy. Very grateful for the ones who allow downloading for personal and educational purposes. I find it interesting how the different museums handle sharing their collections. Some are so generous and easy. Some are complicated and restrictive. Others do not share at all or charge quite a bit of money.
I hope you are having a wonderful, creative day!
Sending all of you much love and happiness,
Louise

Fun Free Digital Ephemera! Victorian Advertising Trade Cards and Greeting Cards ~ Cute Bunnies ~ Pretty Horses ~ Dancing Ladies
Hi everyone and welcome!
This is a fun silly post! It just happened. The first picture, from an antique Easter greeting card, started it all. For some reason I just love this picture! It makes me happy every time I see it. I don't know what to call the theme for today. Ladies preforming, juggling, dancing on flowers, spinning on a top and training rabbits. All very whimsical and oddly have a common thread. So have fun making cards, embellishing journals and creating mixed media projects!
Much love to you all, Louise

Welcome to everyone! The theme for today is sweet little English daisies. These are one of my favorite little flowers! I am always happy when I come across these little darlings in ephemera, pictures, and art. I am also including a similar flower that has tons of tiny white and pink petals like a pom-pom. These are all free for you to enjoy and use in your personal creations.

Mud-larking on the River Thames ~ Free Digital Clipart of Swans ~ Paintings by Frederick Leighton & Rupert Bunny ~Antique Postcards & Pearl Button Card.
Hi everyone and welcome!
Modern day mud-larking on the river Thames has captured my sense of discovery, curiosity, and looking for treasures from the past. I search old books for pictures and mud-larkers search the Thames river foreshore at low tide. I will try to remember how I stumbled upon mud-larker Nicola White. One thing leading to another because of how Googles searches can be fabulous. My initial search; American tv series The Office > original UK series The Office > actors in the series > Mackenzie Crook > shows he is in > The Detectorist > metal detecting in England > documentaries about British history and archeology > British TV series Time Team > Nicola White's Vlog comes up on my You Tube feed. She is a mud-larker! I did not know that such a hobby existed. I now look forward to Nicola's weekly vlog. It is so calming and a distraction, Her enthusiasm and joy in finding broken, discarded and muddy items is so refreshing. I love the scenery and wildlife which is how I arrived at todays theme. Swans. More times than not she shows them floating on the Thames river or foreshore. The first picture is one I have looked at for many years, almost everyday. It was a birthday card that found a permanent spot on my desk.
I hope you enjoy todays pictures and that you can use them in your journals and mixed media creations.
Much love to each of you,
Louise
