Romantic Era Victorian Ballerina Marie Tagolini - Butterfly Fairy

I do not know what has gotten into me! I have another new post for you!

 Looking through my files for just the right thing and this is it. Ballet!  It is the time of year when so many see The Nutcracker Suite. I remember watching it on TV and falling in love with ballet. It was just so pretty. The pictures today feature the Romantic Era  ballerina, Marie Taglioni (1804-1884). The picture are from Wikimedia Commons.

Free Clip Art Bright Colorful Women from the 1920's Art Deco Style

Hi everyone, Another wonderful warm(hot) day in California. Today I have some cheerful bright illustrations from the 1920's. It was time to lighten things up!

1926 movie poster of Corinne Griffith, a successful actress. She was an Academe Award winning silent screen actress. Looking her up was interesting. Married 4 times, affairs with Howard Hughes, and wealthy if what I found is correct.

While searching around I found the artist Warwick Goble. Look him up for beautiful children's book illustrations. His work is still under copyright so thought it better to share the info and not the images.

  Love the costumes! These photographs are from an early 1900's theater magazine. I can just see them in collages and scrap books. How fun to make a greeting card with them. Have fun and I hope they put a smile on your face.

Ballet dancers! All the pictures are from antique postcards. A few are pre 1900.

I just do not think of a ballerina smoking! Then I remembered one time at the airport, a group of incredible looking men waiting outside the terminal. It turned out they were ballet dancers from Russia and they were all smoking. After such a long flight they probably needed a cigarette!  It was a real treat seeing and talking to them.

I really like this post for some reason and hope you do too. Have fun using them in your projects.

New Clipart ~ Antique Photographs and Postcards of Women Tennis Players

I have been adding new pictures and ephemera to my earlier posts. Only two photos here originally is just not enough!

Somehow I deleted all my picture or moved them to a mystery location! 

 Thank goodness I am just beginning this adventure so it won't be to hard to rescan.
