Dancing for Queen Marie Antoinette Antique Theater Costumes

If you were a dancer and Marie Antoinette wanted you to preform, what would you wear?  An appropriate costume for a royal presentation must be carefully considered. These fabulous antique theater costumes would be perfect! Fit for dancing for a queen and finding their way into one of your projects.

Aren't they just gorgeous, but can you imagine actually wearing something as huge as that? Hmm, not sure. But on the other hand, one would get to fondle acres of gorgeous silks and velvets, and miles of the most delicious lace. I think that might just make up for having to go through doorways sideways and having terrible trouble sitting down.

That is so funny and so true. I agree about the fabrics. Wonder if anyone actually sewed any of them?.

Dear anonymous, They are not mine to give permission for. Being on the cautious side with respect to copyrite seems the prudent thing to do. Every online source has conditions for the use of it's images even if the picture or book is out of copyright.
