Old Cabinet Photographs of Sisters & Regency Paintings With Red Coral Necklaces.

Coral jewellery has been found in ancient Egyptian and prehistoric European burials,[3] and continues to be made to the present day. It was especially popular during the Victorian age

Two mystery family members. One of the girls is wearing a little coral necklace that was popular in the late 1700-1800's

Charming Children's Book~ A Book of Children's Verse ~ Delightful Watercolor Illustrations by Millicent Etheldreda Gray

Hi Everyone! Welcome!

Very excited to share these pictures from a children's book I just discovered. The artist is a new one for me. I just love the softness of her paintings. M.E. Gray also did the illustrations for an edition of Louisa May Alcott's book 'Little Women'. As one of four girls I always enjoy seeing illustrations and paintings that feature four sisters. Now I will hunt for M.E.Gray's illustrations for that book!   Millicent Etheldreda Gray (1873-1957) was a British painter born . She attended the Cope and Nicol School and the Royal Academy Schools. Many of her illustrations for books are done in watercolor. Lots of little details. Some of the books she illustrated are  A Book of Children's Verse https://archive.org),  Princess Mary's Gift Book, The Queen's Gift Book. and Little Women. Can't wait to find copies of the other books she illustrated!

Beautiful Paintings by Emile Munier of ~Mothers ~Babies ~Little Girl and Her Doll

This is a really good day for bumble button. One of my visitors,Scott, left a comment referencing an artist. He also mentioned a preference for nude paintings. Well naturally I though oh dear this cannot be a good thing. After looking up the artist I just about cried for joy. Not only did said artist Emile Munier paint nudes but many other sweet and beautiful paintings. My files already had his works.  Looking up the artist led to other similar artist and sources. That plus new sources for Tuck's postcards and I have images for thousands of posts! Maybe Bumble Button will be a little more art history than originally planned. There will be more art to decorate your home with plus graphics for your art and craft projects.
It is most fitting to feature Emile Munier's work in this post. I love his style and subject matter. Enjoy and hope you find the pictures as pleasing as I have. Much love to you all, Louise

Getting to know you... Sweet Babies and Children ~ Free ClipArt

"Getting to know you, Getting to know all about you..." Isn't that a song from the 'King and I' movie? That is what I am doing now. Getting to know the new blogger "look". I waited until Blogger made me use the new upgraded page. Being in the habit of clicking first then seeing what happens has been my method in the past. Having invested so much time and love into bumble button that seems a little risky! So far it has been a smooth transition.
This has been 'saved' right? I clicked the save button but it hasn't turned to the old reassuring 'saved'.  Oh I see it goes from 'save' to a quick 'saving' then back to 'save'. No saved. That is efficient! Little changes like this are, well little.
Now enough of that and time to post some images! Something new (before 1923) and that you can use for free, for anything.   Thanks for stopping by and much love to each of you, Louise
I just really love this one. He is missing his little shoe!

Beautiful Babies, Jesse Wilcox Smith and 1800's paintings,Tinted photograph of Darling baby in a bassinet

Hi to all of you. I am so happy you stopped by!
I have spent 2 days scanning! The Legacy received a donation of old magazines dating from 1895 to 1931. The manager was so very nice and let me borrow them for my blog. At some point they will be on Ebay. Most are Modern Priscilla and Needlecraft with a few others. As I go through the magazines there will be a book or catalogs listed. That is all I need to start searching online libraries.  That turns up even more images! It is just amazing what is out there if you have the time to search.
On another note I have been deleting many past posts because the images are gone. This takes time but I want to work on the new stuff!
Now it is time to post something new. My friend just became a great auntie. In celebration my images all have babies in them.   Have fun making cards, artist trading cards, collages and tags. Enjoy and make something beautiful, Louise

Karen, here is your request. It is very cute.
