Today I have pretty printable paper that can be used in scrapbooking, journals and even as wallpaper in dollhouses. As I go through old books one of the first things to check is the end papers or lining. They can be pretty incredible! The marbled ones are wild and colorful. I tend to like simpler and less bold patterns. When there is one to my liking I copy and save them for future paper projects. Now it is time to share them with you! Victorian Artists Walter & Thomas Crane ~ Greeting Cards ~ Free Digital Printies

Good morning and welcome!  A few years ago I came across the British artist Walter Crane. I was looking at antique children's books which led me to this prolific and popular artist. His father and brother were also artists. Today I have a few greeting cards for you that were done by his brother Thomas. There are two more cards in the set. I tend to get a tad obsessive about completing sets or matching things. Needless to say I will be on the look out for the other two in color.  I am posting the black and white ones as a reference. You never know what I can find on a museum or library website. So glad I found the Metropolitan Museum of Art online resources. I have been spending many happy hours going over their ephemera and artwork collections. So many interesting works of art and artists.

 Good morning to all of you. Such a happy day today is! Happy for simple reasons. Nothing momentous but because I accomplished overdue chores and my kitty is feeling better. The other reason is remembering my Grandmother's garden. I loved wandering over the acres of orchards, flowers, forest and the giant oak tree. Today I have pictures of fuchsias for you. My grandmother would pick one and take a little section of stem. The stem was pushed thru the top to make little arms. The petals where the skirt and the stamen her legs. So adorable. Hope you enjoy the pictures

Victorian Die-cut Scrap Booking Pictures. Free Clipart of Fans, Doves, Bird Cages, Little GirlS in Frilly Lace Bonnet, Castle

Hi everyone! For some reason I like old Victorian die-cut scraps. What a nice lady like activity finding pictures to arrange into a book. The Victorians would fit right in with our contemporary scrap booking and paper craft trends. My scrap book is in my computer! The hunting and gathering of pictures to "cut" and "paste" is what I have come to like. Even more than making a physical scrap book album. Finding surviving old albums is treat offering a glimpse into someone's life over a hundred years ago. The scraps in today's post have been cleaned up a little to restore the colors and any tears. Being well over 100 years old they are free for your use.
