April Birthstone and Flower ~ Diamonds and Daisies ~ Antique Button Card~ Postcards

Hello and welcome!
Already the start of a new month after March went by so quickly. I am pleased to be posting the month's birthstone and flower pictures on time! Finding pictures of daisys is fairly easy because there are lots of antique postcards that feature daisies. In my collection of printer's chapter headings and tail pieces there are plenty that feature daisies.  Still looking around for pictures of diamonds. A separate post is coming that features sweet peas. The United Kingdom birth or month's flower is the daisy while in the United States it is sweet peas. Hope you can use these pretty images in your journals and greeting card creations.
Much love to all of you, Louise

A Few Beautiful Paintings of Women in Pretty Edwardian White Dresses by Charles Courtney Curran

It is such a beautiful day! Only 3 days until I receive the second dose of vaccine! Super happy about that. Really looking forward to going out and doing some exploring. I found some paintings that reflect my mood. All are bright, breezing, and sunny. The paintings are by Charles Courtney Curran (1861-1942).  He often painted women in lovely outdoor settings. The printers page decorations are the days free digital clipart.
I also added a Victorian calling card just because it is pretty.
Hope the paintings make you happy also.
Much love to all of you!

Vibrant Antique Victorian Ephemera Free Clipart for Making Journals, Cards, Scrapbooking.

Hi everyone! So glad you found my blog. I hope you like the pictures today. Lately I have been looking for old advertising trade cards online. Very happy that I continue to find libraries that have digitised old scrapbooks from the 1800's. Most are full of trade and greeting cards artfully arranged. There are visiting or calling cards plus lovely Victorian die-cut scraps scattered about. Can't help but wonder who the person was that made them. I am just a tad obsessed with finding and "collecting" these little digital treasures. Very grateful to the libraries who make the scrapbooks and collections available online for educational use. My only frustration is that only a small number of Victorian and Edwardian scrapbooks have been digitised. I love spending a ridiculous amount of time organising, cleaning and repairing any imperfections. So many people are making greeting cards, journals, family photo albums and other paper crafts now.  I hope you find todays images enjoyable, pretty and useful for your personal projects. Much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

The prettiest cherubs and flower sprays Perfect for black and white French inspired designs

Hi everyone! Welcome to you all.
If my blog were a garden it would be over grown and needing water. This seems to be a pattern.  A flurry of pictures and posts and then... So after a week It is time to get back to blogging.  I also have to confess that I am an image hoarder! My computer keeps telling me the virtual memory is low and that some request will be slow. Sound familiar? My brain and body has the same thing going on! Whether it makes more room or not it seems logical to me that deleting files and folders will make room for new ones. That is what I have been doing  today. Kinda like cleaning out your closet by trying everything on before you toss it out. The fact that there are already plenty of images doesnt disuade me from looking for just a few more. And I found the best stuff! Antique children's books from an online library. There are almost 8,000 books to look thru.
One of the things I liked and thought you might too are from chapter endings and title pages little do-dads, thing-a-ma- jigs, fluerishes or what every you might call them.  I can just see them in your scrapbooks and crafts, altered art, invitations etc. . There are even two labels. Black and white and so French. Two of the cherubs have a pair of wedding rings.Hope you find them as lovely as I do.

Your comments have been incredible and very welcomed. Thank you for the comments regarding Sherry. It will be so nice to pass them on to her and the board. Hope we get her back somehow.
The number of followers continues to grow and there have been over 100,000 page views!! WOW!
Thank you so much for your positive support. I love you gals!!
