Postcard Ephemera of Historic French and English Ladies. Free to download and print. Use in journals, ATC, Greeting Cards

Romantic portraits of 18th century ladies. Elegant and well dressed they are most certainly women of leisure in the late 1700's.  These lovely paintings are from antique postcards and prints. If they are paintings of real individuals or just the artist imagination I can not say. The large powdered hair arrangements seem very French and maybe contemporaries of Marie Antoinette. The top two are my favorites.  Hope you enjoyed your visit and please come again.
Much love to you all, Louise

Victorian clipart and images of Darling Sweet Babies. Free for use in collage ATC scrap booking or as instant art.

Just babies. Lots of cute sweet babies.
All the images are taken from antique postcards, books and magazines. Most are from the Victorian or Edwardian years.   Hope you find the pictures in today's post as beautiful and interesting as I have.
Remember when our own children did this? What a wonderful milestone for baby and the dotting parents.
A moment to reflect once dear little one has fallen asleep.
Another favorite originally from an antique  nursery rhyme book.

The layette items are from an antique french magazine. If you have ever wondered what nappy's and diapers looked like in the 1800's, now you know!
Fur lined booties to keep baby's feet warm and toasty.

An antique Victorian baby from a old scrap book.
This is a favorite one.Such a sweet face.
Love this one.

So glad you have found or are on  a return visit. Stay awhile and enjoy some of the pretty images I have posted for you.
Much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

Walter Crane Flower Ladies Fantasy Book Illustrations

Hi everyone, Today has been fantastic. The weather continues to be lovely and mild. Life is so much more comfortable when the temp is in the mid 70's. I have been sleeping better. Insomnia has been a chronic pattern so sleeping at night is much appreciated. And then today I have unearthed tons of new images and pictures for all of you! Very exciting! I just loved these and hope you can use them. Great costume ideas.
Walter Crane is one of the artists whose illustrations I really like or really do not! Not sure why. Usually this happens with book illustrators as opposed to painters. Maybe the author or publisher has more say in the artwork.
These are some I do like!
As much as I want to play some more it is bedtime. So goodnight and much love to each and everyone of you, Louise

Ready made gift tag or book mark.
So glad you stopped by for a visit.
